These hand painted blue butterflies earrings are 4" in length from the hook and are 2" wide at the base tapering to 1" at the top. The cab is wooden with hand painted butterflies, she used size 11 Japanese miyuki delica beads and is backed on white leather with sterling silver shephards hooks.
Beth Rose Designs is run by Esther Sasakamoose and her daughter Kayla. Esther is a Plains Cree Artisan from the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. She has handcrafted a large variety of beaded accessories and jewelry and has been doing so for 35 years. Her work has been featured in museum selections catalogues and in August 2022 her work was in an Indigenous fashion article in Vogue.
