Elizabeth is a member of the Mistawasis Nehiyawak First Nation in Saskatchewan. She has been making jewelry, art cards, prints, and other crafts for over 20 years. The artistic traditions and storytelling of the Plains Cree are the creative foundation of her work. Elizabeth’s drawings illustrate Cree syllabics, beadwork patterns, and traditional tattoo symbols. She uses copper and silver in her jewelry and wire designs, which are often based on the Medicine Wheel and the Tree of Life.
