Pansawan is also known as "dry meat" and has been a traditional staple in the diet of Aboriginal First Nations people since the beginning of Turtle Island. During the cold winter season, Natives of North America would have survived on this 'dry meat' as it would stay naturally preserved and nutrient rich over many moons. We have maintained the natural integrity of this product with out inherited ways of DRYING and SMOKING our PREMIUM quality meat.
Pansawan is proudly hand-crafted on Treaty Six Territory in Alberta, Canada. Pansawan is what we have learned to refer to 'dry meat' as in the Cree 'Nehiyawin' Language of our people.
