"Spring Showers Moccasins" Workshop invites you to learn this cherished Indigenous art form across two immersive sessions.

From learning how to bead geometric and potentially floral designs for the top of the Moccasin to pleating, and sewing the slipper style moccasin, Jasmyn Albert is excited to teach you the craft her Kokom taught her.  

Classes will be held at our Broadway location (870 Broadway Ave) on Saturday April 11th, 10am-5pm CST and Sunday April 12th, 10am–5pm CST. All materials/supplies included. Reserve your spot and celebrate the artistry and heritage behind this timeless craft.

About the facilitator

Jasmyn Albert

grew up in Saskatoon. She raises 5 beautiful children and loves to sew and teach. She is Plains Cree, Métis and of settler ancestry. She grew up spending time learning from her Kokum Mary Lee and many other elders. She has a bachelor degree in Education and is currently learning her language. Jasmyn has been sharing her cultural gifts for over 15 years and continues to learn and share within her community.

With our earnings going back into the park and other organizations such as ones involved in survivors of Residential schools as well as families of Missing Murdered Indigenous Women; we are fortunate and proud to be apart of Treaty 6 Territory.
